Our Story

Bayou Root House was born from a deep love for the old ways—the whispers of ancestors, the power in roots and bones, and the everyday magick woven into Southern life. After years of practicing and studying folk magick traditions from the bayous along the Gulf Coast to the swamps of Louisiana, we felt called to open a space where those traditions could live, breathe, and be shared. As we grow, Bayou Root House will become more than a shop. We envision a sacred space where people can learn, gather, and reclaim the folkways that have been kept alive in whispers and worn hands. Workshops, readings, handmade goods, and community rituals are only the beginning.
